Mangrove honey is produced during the months of June and July of each year from the forests and reserves of Mangrove in many areas, including Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah, and is characterized by its yellow color and delicious taste. Mangrove honey is characterized by the property of crystallization, it remains usable for many years if it is properly stored and is considered as a healthy and safe food for both children and adults.

It is an evergreen tree with small, feathery leaves and is used as animal feed as well as in pharmaceutical applications.

The tree has been selected as a symbol of the UAE’s Year of Tolerance. It produces yellow flowers and yields honey rich in nutrients and known for its natural crystallization properties. Its horn-shaped fruits provide a protein-rich food source for animals, while its strong trunk is used in the furniture industry. The tree typically reaches a height of 10–12 meters and is widely found across the UAE, particularly in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.
